The basics
A gym management program is software that runs the business side of a gym. It holds member records, bills memberships, tracks attendance and schedules classes from one account.
Without one, a martial arts gym owner chases expired cards, retypes attendance and works the front desk at every class change.
The work gets split across a mailing list tool, a funnel builder, a booking system and a point-of-sale till. Each one holds part of the member record, and none of them talk to each other.
Spark Membership replaces those tools with one gym management program built for martial arts schools. Billing, attendance, waivers and every message sent sit on the same student record.
Spark also reads belt rank progress from attendance. General gym software leaves that job to a spreadsheet.

Inside the program
Six jobs a martial arts gym runs every week, from one account.
Memberships
Sell, upgrade and renew memberships, including family accounts, from the student record. The dashboard shows trial, new, upgraded, renewal and add-on memberships at a glance.
Billing and Payments
Recurring billing, payment reminders and failed-payment follow-up run from the same record as attendance and rank. A declined card starts a follow-up sequence instead of a report someone has to notice.
Class Scheduling
Classes and paid appointments sit on one calendar next to billing and attendance. Automatic reminders and push notifications go out before class and cut no-shows before anyone picks up a phone.
Check-In and Attendance
Students check themselves in from the member app, and staff stay free for the class changeover. Attendance feeds belt rank tracking, and a missed class flags on its own.
The Member App
Students book and pay, message your gym, sign up for events and watch video curriculum from the Spark app on the App Store and Google Play.
Leads and Trials
Every lead, trial and member sits in one pipeline. When a trial student goes quiet after a first class, the Trial and Prospect Maximizer starts a follow-up without anyone pressing send.
One platform. Three tools.
The core of Spark's gym management program, each working from the same student record.

Built by owners
Master Ron Sell and Grandmaster Cheong Park, both 7th Degree Black Belts, built Spark after running their own martial arts schools. Sell opened his first in Florida in 1991, at nineteen, and had four by 2003. Park owned eight.
They started building Spark in 2017 and launched it in 2019, and 1,000 schools signed up that first year.
Spark automates the admin of running a martial arts school, from membership billing and attendance to lead follow-up and marketing.

Spark's team handles the move from your current software.
